Frequently Asked Questions

Over the years I’ve found that many of my clients have similar questions and queries about the service I offer.

So I’ve added them to my website, along with my answers. I hope you find them useful.

That’s a good question.

In my experience, most clients like dealing with an individual adviser; irrespective of whether the adviser that the firm works for is small, such as ISJ Financial Planning, or a larger multi-national organisation.
The fact therefore, that I am the only adviser working for the business, really shouldn’t matter, if it is continuity of service that you are looking for.

To ensure I have the support I need to run the business, and advise clients, I have invested heavily in the right technology. I have retained the services of a highly respected compliance consultancy and have appointed a locum who will be available to advise you in the event that I can’t.

I am authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

You can visit ISJ Independent Financial Planning’s entry on the FCA register by clicking here to visit my own entry on the register click here.

If I am unable to work due to illness my clients will be able to use an online portal to get valuations.  I have appointed a highly-regarded, and local, financial adviser to act as my locum.

It’s vital you feel comfortable, I’m therefore happy to meet you wherever you prefer. This maybe your home, place of work, or my office.

There is no fee for our first meeting.

This is all about us getting to know each other. I aim to have a long-term relationship with all my clients, it’s therefore vital that we not only get on, but will work well with one another.  Hopefully for for many years to come.

I believe that specialising in working with three core groups of clients means I have a deeper understanding of their needs, financial challenges and the potential solutions.

I work with people who are going through a divorce, who are planning for their retirement, but are still some years away from being able to finish work, and those who want to retire imminently.

My clients are mainly in Leicester and London.

Yes. I act as an Independent Financial Adviser.
